How do the local creatives in East London navigate through freelance challenges and build sustainable futures?
Almost one-third of the creative industry workforce is self-employed — more than in any other industry in the UK — and this number is growing.
We’re bringing together a panel of East London creative freelancers for a discussion on the highs and lows of freelance life, and how freelancers can build resilience both individually and collectively.
Echo and the HWFI Creative Enterprise Zone warmly invite you to join our Summer Social, showcase and panel discussion at the White Post Cafe in Hackney Wick.
We’ll also be showcasing participants from Echo’s recent Wick Freelancers programme, a free peer-to-peer business support programme for creative freelancers based in and around Hackney and Tower Hamlets.
Stick around for a drink, chat and networking afterwards to exchange ideas, skills and knowledge.
This event is open to anyone who is already freelancing, considering taking the plunge, or simply interested in future work trends.
The event is hosted by Echo in partnership with HWFI Creative Enterprise Zone, Mayor of London, London Legacy Development Corporation, Hackney Council and Tower Hamlets Council.
