Are you a business owner in Hackney Wick, Fish Island or Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park? Join us to build a collaborative, sustainable local business culture.

DATE: Thursday 17th October
TIME: 9.15am – 12.30pm (followed by lunch)
LOCATION: Grow, 98c Wallis Road, Hackney Wick, E9 5LN

Do you want to reduce your waste footprint, but don’t know how?
Is it a challenge to make planet-friendly improvements that are cost-effective?
Are the available options restrictive, or policy changes confusing?

As a small business, it can be tough to know where to start or how to make decisions that are both commercially and environmentally positive. Packaging, materials, waste management or procurement options can feel limited and confusing when working alone.

This hands-on event is a space to bring your ideas and challenges, and work with others to generate local solutions.

Come along and join local business leaders, aspiring entrepreneurs, policy-makers and waste management specialists for:

> Inspiring conversation Hear from local heroes pioneering positive action – including RejuceGrowPlastic-Free Hackney and In The Drink

> Essential info Unpack the hyper-local environmental picture, demystify waste management, policy and process

> Help desk Explore your challenges with the support of collaborative peers and experts (including London Waste & Recycling Board and Hackney Council)

> Funding and support Discover opportunities and how to access them

> Practical action Put it all into practice by co-creating local solutions to answer the plastic crisis

Whether you’re established or just starting up, if you’re keen to discover how you can make a difference in your business and your community, we’d love to see you there!

Tickets are free, but places are limited so early booking is advised.
