> Would you like to join a curated group of business leaders for a 3-month Peer Network journey?

Echo is inviting creative sector SMEs to join a curated Peer Network programme to help your business thrive through Covid-19 and beyond. Read on to discover more about the programme, and apply by 30th October.

What is the Peer Networks programme?

Peer Networks is a peer-to-peer programme for SMEs. We’re delivering the programme on behalf of London Business Hub, as part of a national Peer Networks initiative.

Peer Networks brings together small, diverse cohorts of business owners/leaders to collaboratively work through common business issues, push boundaries and uncover competitive advantages collectively. Through interactive action learning, the programme will give you a space to discuss your own challenges, gain and reflect on valuable feedback from peers within the creative industries and implement practical solutions to overcome them.

From finance and HR to sales, marketing and more, our expert facilitators give you the flexibility to create a trusted support network that works for you, helping you to build and strengthen your business and improve its overall performance.

Who is it for?

Peer Networks is designed for business leaders who want to build resilience and grow their organisation for future success.

We are looking for SMEs who…

– Are in the creative industries

– Have been operating for at least 1 year

– Have a turnover of at least £100,000

– Have at least five employees (or associates / freelancers)

– Have a registered business address in Greater London

– Aspire to improve

– Are open to sharing challenges and opportunities with others

If you’re not sure if you are eligible for this programme, you can contact us via hello@economyofhours.com to discuss.

The programme

We will curate a small group of creative sector leaders, your peers, to share collective wisdom and collaboratively work through business challenges. Cohorts are carefully selected to ensure a diverse mix of skills and experience, and to maximise opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing and mutual support.

Together, you’ll join us for a 3-month journey, with fortnightly group sessions hosted by an experienced facilitator, plus additional 1:1 support.

The programme includes:

– Action oriented learning

– Trained facilitators

– Small groups

– Flexible topic selection

– One to one support

Cohorts will begin early – mid November (exact dates tbc). To take part, you’ll need to commit to attending a total of 7 sessions (2.5 hour sessions delivered fortnightly over the course of approximately three months). The programme is fully funded, and is free for businesses to take part in, but we ask for maximum commitment to collective growth.

What you’ll get from the programme

Peer Networks is a proven model for supporting business leaders to overcome challenges, improve their performance and set their businesses up for future success. The programme will enable you to make make connections that go far beyond networking.

By completing Peer Networks, you will:

– Overcome business challenges and recognise and act on new opportunities

– Build a trusted network of connections to support you now and in the future

– Improve your long-term personal and business performance

FAQs

Who else will be in my Peer Network cohort?

We carefully curate each cohort of businesses to maximise opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing and mutual support. We make sure each cohort is diverse, and avoid direct business competitors in the same group.

Who is running this programme?

Echo has been commissioned by London Business Hub to deliver this programme, which is funded by BEIS. Echo has been delivering business support programmes since 2015. To date we have supported more than 250 entrepreneurs to launch and grow their businesses, and have connected thousands more to exchange peer-to-peer support via our online platform economyofhours.com.

Will sessions be delivered online or in person?

Based on current government guidelines, we expect it is very likely that the entire programme will be delivered online via Zoom or a similar tool.

Is there a charge?

This programme is fully funded, so there is no charge for businesses to take part, but we ask for maximum commitment to collective growth.

Do I have to attend the whole three months?

Yes, if selected to join the programme, you will need to commit to attending each session (approximately 7 sessions hosted fortnightly over a three month period). Because the programme is focused on building relationships and trust between the members of the group, you’ll need to attend yourself and cannot send a colleague in your place.

What if my turnover is less than £100k? Can I still take part?

This programme has been developed specifically for businesses at a certain size and growth stage. Unfortunately, if your turnover is not £100k or more, you won’t be eligible for this programme. However, we are busy cooking up other Echo programmes to support smaller and early-stage businesses – you can register your interest to be the first to hear about them.

What if I don’t employ 5 people? Can I still take part?

This programme has been developed specifically for businesses at a certain size and growth stage, so if you don’t employ others unfortunately you won’t be eligible. The total number includes full-time and part-time employees, and in the case of creative industries businesses can also include freelancers and associates. If you’re not sure if you’re eligible, you can drop us a line before applying to check.
